Cryptopia is in operation, user balances are resumed.


New Zealand crypto-exchange Cryptopia resumed work after hacking in January. The balance of user accounts is restored in the state it was before the hacker attack. Recall last week the marketplace announced that it would begin work on March 4, but there was a slight delay. The site earned only today.


In the latest series of tweets, Cryptopia confirmed that it will use customer balances that were recorded on January 14th. Now the company recommends that users change passwords and accounts for two-factor authentication.

It is said that the hacker attack caused damage in the amount of 16 million dollars. Until today, the marketplace did not work. On February 13, the police completed an investigation and reported that Cryptopia could recover. In response to this, the company’s management stated that trading on the stock exchange will begin only when it is satisfied that the users ’funds will be completely safe.
