Facebook is looking for legal advisor to promote blockchain solutions

Facebook is looking for a lawyer with experience in the blockchain and payments industry to promote new applications and social network services. The description of the requirements for the candidate states:

“You will be responsible for drafting and negotiating a wide range of contracts related to our blockchain initiatives, including the partnerships necessary to launch new products and promote them internationally. You will also advise clients on various legal risks, business strategies and other issues related to business transactions and general operations. ”

Back at the end of last month, the Facebook company attracted media attention after the New York Times reported that the company is looking for support for its potential future token - Facebook Coin.

The token, which can be launched in the 1st half of 2019, will be digital currencies for making payments between Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp platforms.

Prior to this, the report said that the social network has acquired the blockchain-startup Chainspace, based in the UK, whose work is focused on solutions for blockchain-platform scalability. At the time, a Facebook spokesman said they hired Chainspace researchers instead of acquiring them.
