The news of the resumption of work of the cryptocurrency exchange Cryptopia came as a surprise to many. Most believe that due to a hacker attack, the exchange will close for a few months or forever. Cryptopia admitted that during the hacking 9.4% of all assets were stolen. There were rumors on the internet that the amount was much higher.
The New Zealand police conducted an investigation within a month and recently stated that the exchange might reopen. However, the leadership of Cryptopia stressed that at the moment there will be no real trading.
