A representative from Bitmain announced the launch of a new, more efficient chip for mining digital currencies BM1397, which differs from its predecessors by almost 30% better energy efficiency.
According to him, the novelty uses only 30 joules per terrachash, that is, 33 terrahesha can work using 1 kW of energy. Thanks to BM1397, miners will be able to get more power and save energy costs.
Experts emphasize that the launch of the new product means that, despite the problems with the business, Bitmain continues to work on its main business - the creation of new mining equipment.
