Blockchain development reaches a tipping point: expert opinion.

In December, Hyperledger CEO Brian Belendorf concluded that 2019 was a year of “cautious and prosaic development,” referring to the blockchain industry. The day before, he gave an exclusive interview to Coindesk reporters, in which he shared his expectations regarding decentralized technologies for the coming year.

Blockchain is getting more serious
The expert mentioned a huge number of new projects that appeared in the decentralized technology industry in 2019. These include the development of decentralized finance, the appearance of the first prototypes of centralized banking currencies, and much more. According to Belendorf, the blockchain from theory is gradually "moving on to practice."

At the moment, we already have enough pilot projects to assess the prospects of the industry. There is a real way that this technology can provide employment to many people.

Using tools such as digital identification and secure transactions, many of the biggest problems of our time can be resolved to some extent.

We are moving towards the emergence of a more independent digital identity, the creation of which would not have been possible without decentralized technologies. I understand that a lot has already been said about the prospects of the blockchain and now more and more enthusiasts are waiting for the emergence of technology in the banking sector. I think its development has reached a turning point.

According to him, the annual event in Davos WEF 2020 is a suitable venue for attracting government and business leaders to participate in such projects.

I worked at the World Economic Forum for two years as the chief technology expert, so I came here quite often. The forum itself was based on these idealistic ideas on how to make the world a better place.

Recall that the positive comments addressed to the blockchain sound louder and more confident. For example, at the end of last year, the founder and head of the largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance Changpen Zhao supported this rhetoric. He said that blockchain will have a huge impact on the world, the scale of which will be comparable to the invention of the Internet. At the same time, digital assets will gradually attract more and more investors.

So far, the conclusion is obvious: the future lies with the blockchain. It remains to not miss the moment when it becomes a reality.
