The best bitcoin mining equipment in 2019: preparing for the powerful miners of ASIC.

Instead of a parrot about the death of crypto-mining, U.Today takes an optimistic approach, considering the best mining equipment for bitcoins in 2019.

The demand for bitcoin mining equipment declined significantly in 2018 due to market problems, but this does not mean that the multi-billion dollar industry is dead. Thus, U.Today takes a closer look at the most popular ASIC miners on the market as of January 2018.

Leading Bitcoin Equipment Manufacturers
Bitmain remains the largest producer of mining with a market share of more than 75 percent. However, its ambiguous IPO, combined with falling cryptocurrency prices, limit the chances of this giant staying on top of its game. Halong Mining is a relatively new mining company, also based in China. It is noteworthy that Halong is one of the most secretive mining companies in the cryptospace, because there is no information about their CEO, location or income, which ultimately led to the assumption that the company is a fraudster. Canaan Inc, which also expects to receive more than $ 1 billion in an IPO, is another Chinese mining giant.

Moving away from the armada of Chinese mining giants, it is worth mentioning BitFury (mining equipment and chips), based in the United States.

Choosing the best bitcoin mining equipment: entry level
Avalon6

Cana Avalon6 is a good starting point for those who are only making small steps in the cryptocurrency industry. Here we are dealing with one of the cheapest miners of ASIC, which is quite easy to use. However, keep in mind that it only offers 3.5 TH / s hashing speeds.

In the US, the average cost of electricity is currently 12 cents. Given this, you will receive a daily loss of $ 1.68.

Antminer S9
Antminer S9 is another bitcoin miner who belongs to the O.G group - this miner has long remained Bitmain’s flagship product, which has become ubiquitous in the crypto space. With a hash rate of about 12.93 TH / s, it also remains one of the most powerful miners, and it can be said that the S9 really is the gold standard in modern crypto space without any flowers.

When money is not a problem
Dragonmint 16t

Dragonmint 16T is an ambitious project that should break Bitmain's hegemony. At one point, it was one of the most powerful miners with a tremendous hashing power of 16 TH / s. It is reported that Halong Mining has spent $ 30 million to mine this miner.

Innosilicon Terminator3
Get ready for a monstrous hashrate with Innosilicon T3, the miner, which definitely corresponds to the name "Terminator". In addition to the surprise of miners with 43 TH / s, this ASIC, developed by competitor Bitmain Innosilicon, also strives to become the most efficient and, therefore, the most profitable miner. Innosilicon Terminator3 is currently available for pre-order, which started on November 11th with a minimum order quantity of three units (you will have to fork out $ 2,279 each). The first release of Innosilicon T3 is scheduled for January 2019. In addition, you can also familiarize yourself with the Innosilicon A9 ZMaster, which competes with Antminer Z9, one of the last Miner ASIC miners from Bitmain, which is designed for Equihash-based currencies.

Bitmain S15 / T15
Forget Antiminer S9 - there are already more powerful miners already in Bitmein. Considering that many competitors are already breathing into Bitmain’s neck, this mining giant didn’t take too long to create its own next generation 7nm miner, Bitmain S15, another gem in Bitmain. Earlier, Cihan Wu, co-founder of Bitmain, delivered a lecture in September, stating that the new ASIC chip could integrate over a billion transistors with a “special circuit structure” that could help Miner achieve the maximum level of efficiency.

Ebit E11 +
Ebang Ebang is the more advanced successor to the E10. With a hash rate of around 37 TH / s, the Ebit E11 + stands out as one of the most powerful ASIC miners, second only to Innosilicon. It should be noted that with the help of this equipment it is possible to produce the main currencies (bitcoins, bitcoin cash), as well as some little-known alt-coins (ACOIN, DEM).

Whatsminer m10
WhatsMiner M10 - upstart on the block, which became known to the world on December 20. The plug-and-play bitcoin miner offers seamless mining with 33 TH / s hashrate. The miner will cost you $ 1,475. However, Pangolin, a completely new producer of the mining industry, also has a real beast in its arsenal - Whatsminer DCR. The Miner Hippopotamus, which can currently be bought for a staggering $ 4,490, offers 48 TH / s, easily making Whatsminer DCR the most powerful miner on the market. The date of shipment of batch 2 is scheduled for January 10.

GMO miner B3
GMO Miner B3 is another representative of the party of future miners of ASIC. It lags behind Innosilicon T3 in terms of maximum hashing power (B3 gives you 33 TH / s). However, these miners are largely at the same level in terms of mining efficiency, given that B3 has a lower level of power consumption.
However, the Japanese mining giant recently announced the closure of its cryptocurrency sector due to falling cryptocurrency prices. GMO will continue its own mining business, but will stop selling its mining equipment. All miners are currently sold out.

Optional accessories

In addition to the miner, you need to buy additional devices:

  1. Power supply (PSU).
  2. Rig if you want to buy a couple of miners asic.
  3. Cooling system (although some miners, such as Bitmain’s new water-cooled Antminer S9 Hydro, already have built-in cooling solutions).
  4. Internet bandwidth. It is well known that bitcoin does not require a large bandwidth, but for mining with a higher hashing speed, a faster Internet connection will be required.
  5. Your computer As with the Internet, your computer does not really matter, given that your ASIC is used to power the computer. Even Opteron will not win against S7 miners.

GPU mining dead?
At the moment, the GPU mining is in a depressed state, which gives gamers the main reason for the celebration. The ASIC monopoly took over GPU mining, putting an end to the democratized mining space. This explains why Nvidia and AMD have already left the market. Speaking of popular graphics processors, we still have to mention the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 and AMD Radeon RX580 as the most profitable graphics cards for mining. Moreover, you can buy them at a super-cheap price, as the complexity of mining continues to fall. Since 2010, mining on processors has not been anything special. For comparison, the Antminer S9 has 1,800 processor chips, while high-performance PCs have a total of eight cores. Generally speaking, there were three generations of bitcoin miners:
  • processors;
  • Graphics processors;
  • SIS.
Mining equipment of the future
Having considered the mining equipment of the past, we now proceed to the mining equipment of the future. Back in May, it turned out that for Monero, many secret ASICs were created, constituting almost half of the total number of coin hashes. The ASICminer Zeon 180K still has ASIC heavy duty miners that bring huge profits. While there are miners with a monstrous hash rate (and, most likely, many “secret” ASIC chips in the near future), there is one thing that becomes clear - the future of crypto mining will become more and more centralized, but the expansion ASIC equipment can democratize this market.
